Sunny Bo-Kaap Print

"Sunny Bo-Kaap" print by well known South African artist, Ina Grobbelaar depicts everyday life in the historic ‘Malay Quarter’ of Cape Town – she displays a naïve, almost whimsical departure from her scenic work. Against the backdrop of Table Mountain, mosques and buildings loosely rendered in marzipan green, shocking pink and purple, line streets where locals ply their trade. This light-hearted approach appropriately reflects the spirit of a community where the sounds of minstrel music once echoed.
